Up to now, I have only reviewed Microgaming-based casinos, primarily because I was focusing on certain details in their software, but also because they are amongst the most common on the Net. This has led people to believe that I have a bias towards Microgaming, when in fact I do not – and when the opportunity to reveal a new BossMedia casino arose, I decided this was the right time to take a good long look at Prestige Casino.

This new casino has only been online for a few short days, and is the latest of BossMedia’s new multiplayer offerings. I was eagerly anticipating a look at one of the new multiplayer games, but alas, Prestige still has the same multiplayer games available at other BossMedia casinos – so I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer.

But enough rambling… on to the casino and the software – I have to say that this is one of the most impressively designed casinos in graphic terms that I have seen of late. Response times from the server were fast – and the multiplayer games were of the highest quality.

Prestige Casino also has a single-player version with more games – but in multiplayer mode you can choose from blackjack, Jacks or Better video poker, slots, roulette, and progressive slots. I had to try them all, seeing as I haven’t played much at BossMedia casinos – and all of them were entertaining, fast, and good value for money.

Because of a couple of problems I have had with my banking, I was unable to play for real money while the bank sorts out its problems – but I am certain the play for fun mode is representative of what you will see when you play for real money. I started with $5000 in play credits – and in a scant half hour was well over $10,000, the beneficiary of a $100 hit on the number 4 in roulette for $3500, as well as some serious blackjack hands (I played three at a time, another interesting benefit). The Jacks or better video poker was okay – I didn’t lose any money there – but typically I gave back some of the money trying the slots at $5 a pull – and even then payouts were quite regular.

Cash transactions are processed through the usual BossMedia WebDollar interface, so those of you who have experienced a BossMedia casino will know that you cannot deposit more than $500 or make any withdrawal until you have uniquecasino.fr received a special PIN code by snail mail. This is actually a very secure method, but one of my pet peeves is not being able to immediately withdraw money when I have won – especially as I can immediately deposit money. I hope BossMedia in future devises a more efficient manner of making transactions somewhat safer – and I bet this is one of the reasons why they have not grown nearly as fast as Microgaming or any of the bigger software suppliers. On the plus side, of course, WebDollar only charges $1 for a check, while some Microgaming sites charge more and many have minimum cashout levels.

I’m not a multiplayer type of gambler – when I gamble I consider it work – so I am obviously more interested in the single-player software. But having said that, if I ever wanted to play multiplayer and sit and chat with other players I daresay BossMedia has the best interface – and it is likely this will be a major factor in their future growth. Yes, I know I have to chat when playing in real life – but on occasion I have been known to open a new table at higher limits in Las Vegas and sit towards the middle to discourage other players so that I can get maximum action.

Any complaints, you ask? At this stage, absolutely none. Maybe later I’ll get a chance to test out the payment system – but I have high hopes they will be as efficient as the best casinos on the Net.

So if you’re looking for a new gathering place to play and chat with your friends at the same time, I highly commend Prestige Casino to you. But if you want to get a table to yourselves, better move quick – I bet the tables will start filling up quickly once word gets out 🙂
